GROOMING VIDEO COMMING SOON!!!!
The handlers/groomers/owners in these videos demonstrate how they would use the Pure Paws product line with their dogs. You may even notice sometimes that different handlers use different techniques when bathing & grooming. There are many ways to combine the products to acheive the look that is right for your dog. If you want more information on the individual products and what they can do for your dog please look at the Product Information page or email us at info@purepaws.net
Grooming the Airedale Terrier
Prepare the Volumizing Shampoo (1 part shampoo to 8 parts water) then distribute throughout the coat where needed. Some people chose to only bath furnishings others choose to do a complete bath. Rinse well and remove all of the shampoo. You can complement this bath with the Brightening Shampoo.
Volumizing Shampoo

Option 1

You should always apply the Volumizing Foam to damp furnishings. Put the foam in your hands and disperse evenly through out the coat. Then dry the area. Do this in sections. Apply to one section at a time so that you make sure the furnishings are damp when applying. If the coat starts to dry out while you are finishing we recommend re-damping the area.

Volumizing Spray Gel

Option 2

Spray directly into a damp coat and the distributed evenly. Again do this in sections so that the coat does not start to dry before you have a chance to blow dry the gel. Another way to use the gel is by diluting it in a small tub like container (1 part Volumizing Spray Gel to 4 parts water) – Once the product is mixed and diluted place the dog’s legs into the container. Let the product penetrate the furnishings. Then remove the legs from the container, remove the excess water and begin to dry.

Intense Hair Spray
For the finishing touches use the Intense hairspray to help keep the coat in place and give the dog a beautiful shine.

Maintenance

In between shows you can use the same bathing technique. Then condition the desired furnishings using one of the following techniques:

Deep Conditioner - 1 part conditioner to 10 parts water. Apply to desired areas and then rinse.

Silk Cream - apply directly to desired furnishings. Do not rinse.

This will not cause you to lose texture!

AKC standard for the coat

Coat
Should be hard, dense and wiry, lying straight and close, covering the dog well over the body and legs. Some of the hardest are crinkling or just slightly waved. At the base of the hard very stiff hair should be a shorter growth of softer hair termed the undercoat.

Adding Volume and Creating Density
Recommended for coats that need depth of color. This shampoo is safe to use on ALL colors. The color enhancing effect of this product is created through microscopic optical brighteners. These tiny crystals help reflect back the base color that is already in the coat. This prism effect creates brilliant colors and beautiful whites in all coat types.
